CCWA Document

Meetings: Location and Time. The CCWA meets on the second Thursday of every month (except in December) in the Paso Robles Senior Center (located at 270 Scott Street, Paso Robles, CA). The meetings begin at 7pm and typically last about 1 to 2 hours.

10 July, 2008, Watched a video about the Shaper and discussed student projects at the Cuesta College woodworking class.
12 June, 2008. Meeting was held at the Pioneer Museum with tour of the museum.
8 May, 2008. Mike Goodman, owner of the Outlet Tool Supply in Atascadero, was our speaker. He discussed the history of his company and the recent addition of Rockler woodworking and hardware items to his store.
10 April, 2008. Mitch Mitchel, a local woodworker, discussed how he restored wagon wheels for the Pioneer Museum.
13 March, 2008. A series of wookworking projects were discussed - all community service. The guest speaker for the evening was cabinet maker, Larry Allan. He is setting up a shop in the area soon for people to come by and work with wood working tools.
14 February, 2008. First was a discussion of the Toys for Tots program from Joe Scott, who will the director for our support of this program. Next was a slide show about a patio construction project completed by Keith Williams.
10 January, 2008. Bill Wilson from Cuesta College discussed the Woodworking classes that are part of the Construction Technology Department.
8 November, 2007. Toys for Tots. Toys were made by club members and presented at this meeting to the Toys for Tots program for distribution before the holiday season. The first two pictures below were taken during a work day at a members shop. The remaining four show some of the items donated to the toy program. The November 13th issue of the Paso Robles Press has an article about our toy donations.

9 August, 2007. Watched a video about a new design table saw with extra safety features.
12 July, 2007. WOOD FLOORING (presented by Rick Holland, owner of Flooring Outlet).
14 June, 2007. Saw Blades (presented by Greg Toberman, owner of Atascadero Saw and Sharpening. Mr Toberman will be talking about care of your saws and blades and how to keep your fingers and other parts of your body.)
10 May, 2007. Furniture Design (presented by Martin Sprouse).
12 April, 2007. Workshop Safety and Basic Woodworking Skills (presented by Gary Robillard). Use this link to read an article on The Psychology of Safety.
